One of my main goals is to make this the most stress-free photography encounter that you have experienced. I love to have fun, so the idea of a stuffy photo session where we simply walk around and I tell you to look at me and say "cheese" is not the way that I want to spend my evening, and I hope it's not the way you want to spend yours! I love the look of natural expressions. So, I often will just tell you to stand in a certain way and start talking with each other. I may have you walk around or even give each other a bear hug. With any particular look that I attempt, I'm always trying to get the same thing... a natural reaction between people. Those are the shots that remain timeless. So, come expecting to just hang out together and have fun!
A question I get from almost everyone is, "What should I wear?". Everyone has a different style, so at the end of the day, it's best to go with something that reflects who you are. I'm all for getting out of the box with your wardrobe and having fun with it though. Jewelry, scarves, hats, jackets, cool shoes... they are definitely OK to have! Do your best to try and stay within the same color palette though. It always works best if you are coordinated. I also encourage you to bring things that have particular meaning to you. Yeah, a grungy old chair in the middle of a field may make for an awesome shot on Pinterest, but it may have no meaning or sentimental value to you. So, think about things that are unique to you and that you want to remember about this time in your life. Let's try to incorporate some of those things in fun and unique ways.
All in all, I love to have a good time with my clients. I ask that you come prepared to let loose and enjoy yourself. Even if you think I may be crazy because of some of the things I may ask of you, please trust me that I know what I'm doing and will make you look awesome!
